Short and long term goals: Short term goals: For my short term goals I intend to continue to explore my fine art practice to discover new processes that I might enjoy and also build on and perfect my current processes. I intend to use my remaining year at Nottingham College to its fullest and make the most out of all the resources and opportunities that I have. I also plan on graduating with a 2:1 at the end of this college year. I wish to explore photoshop, photo editing and video editing much more throughout this coming college year. I want to develop my skills and perfect these processes as I believe that this will give me an interesting skillset and an edge when pursuing future endeavours within the photography business. I plan on developing some of the more traditional art skills such as drawing and painting to a higher degree. Critical reflection on own best practice: My art practice: My art journey started in 2022, I had finished my A levels the previous year and taken a gap year. during this year I took a couple of online painting courses as I wanted to discover something new, I found that I really enjoyed making art and my teacher at the time encouraged me to take some in person courses as well. To begin with I started a Wednesday afternoon mixed media art class at Nottingham College and then began the Access to Art, Design and fashion course at Nottingham College in September of 2022. Following on from this I then stayed at Nottingham College and began my Fine Art Foundation Degree in September of 2023. During this time I was able to try out a variety of different processes and although I began with acrylic painting I eventually found myself drifting more towards photography and photographic processes.
