 Final evaluation:

I believe that this project overall has been a success, I have demonstrated a variety of ideas and developments and I believe that it is clear through my work and documentation that I have considered different media and and have demonstrated my experimentation with different ideas. I think that the artist research and field trips were very helpful for me throughout this project, I was able to be inspired and connect with other artists while exploring my own ideas, I think that looking at artists that are working with similar media to me such as Christian Boltalnski has allowed me to see a variety of the possibilities that come with the materials that I am using and aid me in my decision making as I am able to visualise an outcome more accurately due to the references that I have.

Another aspect of this project that I have found helpful is the one on one tutorials with our tutors to go through our ideas and to check in on the progress that we are making, these sessions helped me to keep on track with my work and allowed me to talk through and discuss my ideas which allowed me to understand them more and think about them in more depth. My analysis and critical thinking skills have vastly improved since the beginning of this project, I am able to analyse my work in depth on a personal level as well as detach myself and view my work from an unbiased perspective, I have learnt to talk about the language of my work, the feelings that are created and the impact that it has on the viewer rather than just talking about the process and the techniques that I use.

I believe that my final piece is very successful and I am proud of what I have managed to accomplish, I have shown a clear progression from the beginning of this project to the end and have showcased the ability to transform and translate one idea into something new and different, for example by taking my wire flowers and projecting them I was able to take something small and physical and turn it into a large scale, intangible piece that engulfed the area, I have also showcased my decision making throughout this project when choosing the most successful pieces from my experiment and have documented my thought processes clearly.

I believe that my time management has improved over the course of this project and I have managed to keep on track of all my work and I used the time that I had effectively. Overall, I believe that this has been a successful project and I have showcased my skills to the best of my ability, I will continue to learn and improve throughout my future projects and continue to push my ideas and work further.

 Photographing light: As a development from my initial ideas I wanted to explore and experiment more with light so I began taking photos of the artificial light that I am surrounded with, which included street lights, exit signs and ceiling lights, however, I found that when looking at the images of the exit signs and lights I thought that they were quite boring and I believe that I would need to develop them further either by editing and manipulating the on photoshop or by collaging them for them to be successful, but I think that they are a good starting point.   End of year project: Final evaluation: For this final project I decided to merge the collections project and our end of year final project together due to the way in which my collections project was evolving and the time that I had left. The focus was mainly on bicycles, cogs and the way that they interacted with each other and their surroundings, and originally I wanted to create a series of photographs of people on bike rides and interacting with their bikes. I was very focused on the machinery and industrial aspect of the bikes and cogs and was inspired by artists such as Johnny White, who often incorporates metal and movement into his works, and Mike Brodies 'Train Hopper' photography series which was gritty and industrial.
